BRIEF PROFILE OF SRI ARVIND SINGH CMD KRITI GROUP OF COMPANIES, LUCKNOW (INDIA) An alumnus of the Lucknow University Sri Arvind Singh was reluctant to join his family business of agricultural material based at Lucknow, the capital city of the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. With his firm determination that he should use his education for a more meaningful purpose Sri Arvind along with his close friend Sri Dhananjay Srivastava opened a computer literacy and skill training institute in 1988 which soon grew to have several branches in different parts of the city. His good nature, positive attitude and a strong business instinct made it possible to collaborate with several people in this field; this made him successful from the very first day. In 1992, Sri Arvind acquired a shop at Amrapali Bazar, Indiranagar, Lucknow on rent and this is where he, along with Sri Dhananjay, set up the first organized business enterprise – Universal Books.
