Fashion Designer

Research and Concept Development: Conduct research on fashion trends, materials, fabrics, and designs. Develop concepts and deas for new collections or pieces suitable with the brand aesthetics and specifically for the Indian wear.

Design Creation: Create sketches, either by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) software, to develop initial design ideas. This includes creating mood boards, color palettes, and fabric swatches. You will be expected to sketch for clients orders, variations and demands

Pattern Making: Develop patterns for clothing that will be used in the manufacturing process. This requires a deep understanding of garment construction and measurements.

Material Selection: Choose fabrics, colors, and other materials for the garments based on design concepts, quality, and budget.

Sample Creation and Prototyping: Create sample garments to present to clients or to be showcased in fashion shows. Refine designs through multiple iterations.

Collaboration: You are expected to coordinate with production team to ensure that masters, tailors and other people involved in production are in line with the requirement of the company.

Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with fashion trends and consumer preferences. Predict and identify future trends that could influence design work.

Presentation: Present designs to clients or management. This involves effectively communicating the inspiration behind the designs and the reasoning behind material and color choices.

Quality Control: Oversee the production process to ensure that the final product meets the design and quality standards set. This is a key factor required in the Job

Adaptation and Improvement: Make changes and adjustments to designs based on feedback from stakeholders, market demands, or practical considerations from the production side.

Documentation and Administration: Keep records of all designs, specifications, and other relevant documents. Work with administrative tasks related to design development.

Ethical and Sustainable Practices: Incorporate environmentally friendly and ethical practices into the design process, considering sustainability and responsible sourcing.
